Pizza Pizza

Dominic cooking with daddy again! He loves to help in the kitchen!

Sugar on Snow!

We went to a great sugar on snow party at Uncle Pete and Aunt Cyndi's house. They loved the sugar on snow but Dominic especially loved playing with the other kids and looking for moose on Gee & Papa's land. We didn't find any moose but we did find lots of frogs and some deer hair caught on a fence. Dominic learned about electric fences (we told him it would sting like a bee and he was VERY careful around it) and touched some frog eggs. Daddy caught a frog for him to look at and it jumped into the water!

Easter

Dominic slept in on Easter sunday so unfortunately there weren't too many eggs for him to find. (Miss. Samantha was a little too observant!) Luckily the Easter Bunny went to Gee & Papa's house too! He loved his Easter basket and finding eggs. The Easter bunny brought him "Born Free."

Perhaps an odd choice but we had watched "A lion called Christian" the week before and Dominic was enthralled! He insisted that we get a lion! I explained that in the movie we watched the lion got too big and they had to bring him to the jungle. Dominic responded with "Yes, but when he was little he slept in their bed!" He even came up with a plan to go get a lion at the zoo and bring it home. I told him that it probably wouldn't be a good idea to go into a lion's cage and he told me that it was ok because he was big now!

Decorating eggs

We went through two batches of eggs since the kids were having so much fun decorating. This is really the first time Dominic has been interested at all. I had the traditional, dunking dye as well as these dye filled q-tips that worked really well. When those ran out I brought down regular q-tips and the kids used those to color on the eggs. They even ate some of the eggs!

Pink Bunnies!

Wow, I'm so far behind again but I will try to do better!

The week before Easter Dominic told me that he wanted to make pink bunny cookies for Easter. I thought that was a great plan so Dominic helped me make the cookies and they both helped decorate.

Congratulations Daddy!

Last night at the South Burlington PD's Awards Banquet Keith was awarded the Heroism Award with Police Cross. It was the highest honor of the night and although Daddy is a bit embarrassed by the attention we are all very proud!

"How do you get a dream?"

It's amazing how deep a 3 year old can be. Out of the blue one day he asked me "Mommy, how do you get a dream?" I explained that sometimes while we sleep they just happen. This started our ongoing series of talks on how you get dreams, where they come from, which ones are best and whether you have to be a certain age to get them. It's pretty amazing what he comes up with and how odd and cool it is to have such an abstract conversation with a 3 year old. I'm so proud of him!

Warm Weather

YAY!! Spring is here! We've been enjoying the trampoline and daddy was lucky enough to buy a "bouncy thing" from a friend. Now time to work on riding that bike again. Of course Dominic is ready to go swimming but we'll have to stick to in-door pools for a while longer!

Thinking Spring!

We took a trip to the new Lowe's (Dominic was so excited to go, we've driven by the store while they were building it and Dominic was excited it was finished!) and got some Dora and Diego gardening gloves and some kid's green houses. The kids did a great job planting their seeds all by themselves and it's been very exciting to watch them grow. Dominic can't wait to plant them outside when they get big enough, and when it warms up a bit!

Another cute picture!

I just love getting a sweet picture of Dominic! Between the running away from the camera stage and the become a total ham in front of the camera, sweet pictures have been few and far between.

Yikes

Watching a movie on the computer. Did I mention there are wheels on that chair?!?!?!

More goofball pics!

Dominic tells me that this is his "mad face." The black eye is from an unfortunate run-in with our kitchen island.

And some adorable pictures!!!!

Valentine's Day

President's Day fell over Valentine's Day weekend this year and even though Daddy was working, the kids and I had a great long weekend. I took them both to the pool at my gym and Dominic loved the water. He was very brave, putting his face in the water and trying some floating in his life jacket. We also went to the mall and to Barnes N Nobles which they always love!

Shovelling

Dominic loves shovelling and has helped Daddy with the driveway several times this winter!

Jorja's House

Dominic had a blast with Jorja at her 2nd birthday party. Samantha was a bit shy but Dominic got right in and had a great time playing with Jorja!

Take My Picture!

"Take my picture! Take my picture!" That's a pretty common phrase from Dominic these days. I'm glad we're finally over the running every time he saw the camera stage!

Such a Ham!

Dominic has really gotten into posing for the camera. These were all taken at Elmo Live which he enjoyed but wasn't quite as enthralled as Samantha was!
