Hanging with Riya

What better way to spend a Saturday night than hanging out with friends? Here he is with Riya. She's about 4 months older but Dominic thought she was pretty cool.

Mardi Gras!

Saturday the 25th was Magic Hat's Mardi Gras parade in Burlington. Not quite as warm as New Orleans...

This is how you do it.

Dominic tells Daddy how they should deal with their snow budget.

Reading the Paper with Daddy

Dominic was very interested in the town's money woes.

Tummy Time with Daddy

Well, it started as tummy time.

A new Skill

Daddy has been teaching Dominic how to hold his own bottle while mommy is at work. He's looking pretty good at it now.

RAH!

Dominic jumps into the picture!

1st cereal

Dominic got his first taste of solid food on Sunday the 19th. He caught on quickly and now he smiles when he sees the spoon coming.

(Yup, that bib says "I fight Dirty." On the bottom it says "Future Blackbelt." Thanks Sensei!)

Yo!

Dominic sends this look out to his peeps in the hood.

The Look!

He's been giving this look since he was a couple of weeks old, it's just hard to capture on film. You should see it when he really gets going!

Entertainment!

Being entertained by Aunt Lauren.

A good visit wih Great-Aunt Susan

Yup, last time he cried but this time he was all smiles for Aunt Susan.

Sitting in the Boppy

Dominic's sitting skills are getting pretty good. He does a great job with a little help from the Boppy!

Talking

Dominic is quite the excellent talker. He's always making great sounds, happy or sad but they're always happening. The other day as a matter of fact I went to his side as he was waking up in the morning and he looked at me very intently and started "talking" he even changed his facial expressions as he was doing it. It was too adorable!! His all time new favorite sound though goes something like this....are you ready?...here goes..."EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" Now typing it out doesn't do it justice. Imagine the highest pitched sound a human being can actually hear, now you have to imagine his tongue sticking out at the same time. He gets all red in the face while he's doing it but he looks pretty happy about it!

Updates

Dominic has become an excellent jumper, getting some very good height. The moving and shaking is really coming along which can make diapering a bit of a challenge. He's started holding things and shaking them around. He's been doing great with Daddy at home and has become much more social. I guess he's realizing that other people can take care of him besides Mommy (darn it. :-). He has great conversations with people and likes spitting. Well, I guess they're more like raspberrries but you know what I mean. He's also been experimenting with volume and has realized that he can be very very loud. We're pretty thrilled with him actually and very proud!

Hmmm. Sleep, the one hold out. We were "this close" again, 7.5 hours one night. Now we're back to getting up 3-4 times a night again. Oh well, he'll figure it out but until then Mommy will be very sleepy...zzzzzz

Ninja Baby

Dominic took a trip to the dojo the other day. He did fabulous and everyone oooed and ahhhed over him. He's getting much more social and was have a good time with the other kids and Sensei Quinlan. We're hoping to bring his jumper next time and maybe he'll let me get back to class.
